[DRAMA] My Strange Hero (볡μκ° λμμλ€) Production Presentation / Press Conference ANALYSIS
so, I'll get straight to the point.
let's talk about the hand.
why did seungho put his hand on JBA's shoulder? so, does it mean that what he did to So Hyun and the way he treats her isn't special anymore?
I don't think so π

Yoo Seung Ho walked first without looking back, and he didn't wait for the others . He walked to his seat on the stage.

He stood first and walked to the center of the stage for "couple photo session" with JBA. He look at her once and walked straight. He didn't ask her to walk first. And now, about the hand (at 05:44). even though he put his hand on her shoulder, he looked so serious. Like, seriously, where's your smile Seung Ho ya? π
he laughed at 05:57 because I think he found the pose was kind of funny (the MC asked JBA to put her hand on Seung Ho's shoulder).
There was no interaction between them, like talked or gazed at each other. it so different from Ruler press conference.

the cast did the group photo session. the position was arranged by the MC. again, our King looked serious and stood a little bit far from JBA.

and here is my opinion.
it's not the first time he put his hand on his co-star's shoulder. we saw he did it to Go Ah Ra (KBS 'Entertainment Weekly' Guerilla Date), for IANAR poster photoshoot, he did it to Rothy, to his fans, etc.
And I think So Hyun is special because he did everything as 'protective gestures' around So Hyun. so it's not only about the hand on the shoulder, but all of his gestures. Whenever he's around So Hyun, he shows his protective and manly sides, and something that we call as "want to be close to her" movements.
proof? we've seen many photos of them, where our King stood behind So Hyun (especially when there was a man beside her). and look at these photos (when Ruler cast took selcas)
he stood behind So Hyun, and stuck like glue π

He shyly waited for So Hyun. Ke kept looking at his feet. Just look at his shy smile at 7:54. When finally the queen stood beside him, he asked her if she wanted them to hold hands. Look at their smiles, and their gaze at each other π

Seung Ho moved his hand to So Hyun's back, even before L reached them. He moved to So Hyun's back. they were so close, even it looked like So Hyun was leaning on him π

the director joined the cast. everyone asked him to stand in the middle. look at Seung Ho's right hand at 18:56, with his hand he told So Hyun to give the space for the director, but he still wanted her to stand beside him π

he slowly moved from his seat. he didn't leave right away. he waited for So Hyun (look at her eyes (or we can simply look at the movement of his head)). He followed So Hyun. Unfortunately they couldn't walk together because at 59:26 the director touched his shoulder, and at 59:33 the MC stopped him to shake hands π
conclusion:
in the fantaken videos above, there's no interaction between Seung Ho and his co-stars (first instagram post) and there's nothing special in second instagram post. it doesn't mean he was being rude, but it means he just being professional during the press conference, there were no real feelings involved.

- so, I think what he did in 'My Strange Hero' is just a 'manner hand'. Because when he took the group photos, he didn't do the same thing. So, it's different from what he did to So Hyun. it's not a protective gesture.
- he smiled a lot during Ruler press conference. and there were so many interactions between our King and our Queen. They talked to each other, smile at each other and just look at their sweet gaze π it feels like Yoo Seung Ho and Kim So Hyun were in their own world π
- about his smile during photo session, maybe it's because he was tired. it's possible because he has been busy filming 'My Strange Hero'. But even if he was tired he would smile a lot when he was with "someone special", right? besides, he smiled and laughed when he took the photos with his other co-stars (Kwak DY, Kim DY, and PAI (Park Ah In)).

Yoo Seung Ho attended the Production Presentation/ Press Conference of his new drama, 'My Strange Hero' with Jo Bo Ah, Kwak Dong Yeon, Park Ah In, Kim Dong Young, and Director Ham Joon Ho. The event was held at SBS Mokdong Building, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul on December 7th, 2018.
The first episode will be aired on December 10th, 2018.

The "Flower Petals Action" scene was filmed at a University (Namgajwa-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul) on November 13th, 2018.

ANALYSIS
well, we can see that in the video, our King just practicing the scenes (rehearsal), like discussing about the movement. And sometimes they did it together with the director. For example at 1:11 when Yoo Seung Ho practiced the movement with JBA with instruction from the director. When the director agreed and shout "I like that/ that one is great" at 1:26.I can see YSH as a professional actor. Sometimes he looks serious.
Just look at his expression at 1:46 after the NG. He even leaved right away at 2:24.

Of course sometimes he laugh and smile. It makes me happy actually, because it means he enjoys the filming. But of course it's only because of the drama, not because of someone special. Besides, 'My Strange Hero' is a romantic comedy drama, so I guess there will be many funny and lovey-dovey scenes.
I think to create a great drama they must have a great on-screen chemistry with their co-stars, so it's important to enjoy the filming and have many discussions with their co-stars and director.
Let's support our couple's new drama, "My Strange Hero" and "Love Alarm".
I hope the on-screen chemistry between Yoo Seung Ho and all of his co-stars will be great, and the same goes for our Queen, Kim So Hyun. Great chemistry, great drama.
